With a life-long love of stories, from folklore and fairy-tales to film and television drama, I have over twenty years’ experience supporting creatives to develop and deliver their best work.
I’m the author of the forthcoming book about notes, script editing and development –‘We Have Some Notes…’ being published in 2024 by Bloomsbury, in association with the British Film Institute (BFI).
‘We Have Some Notes…’ examines the art of giving and receiving notes in film and television drama, via interviews with award-winning filmmakers, who share their insights and advice on how to make it a rewarding process.

Currently I’m Executive Producer for Masterclasses & Bridges to Industry at the National Film and Television School (NFTS) – the UK’s leading film school, which was awarded a BAFTA for Outstanding Contribution to British Cinema in 2017. I’m responsible for arranging and hosting filmmaker Q&As for students, and overseeing and providing script editing and development support for graduates on projects with Industry partners such as BBC Film and Film4.
Independently, I provide script analysis and story consulting advice for a small number of writers and directors across a range of genres and stages of development. I also write select non-fiction articles and interviews, specialising in filmmaking, heritage and the countryside.

Previously I worked at Right Angle as part of a small script and series editing team on animated adaptations of classic stories from around the world, for broadcasters including Channel 4, HBO and BBC, which won BAFTAs, Emmys and an Oscar nomination.

I’m a graduate of Exeter University with a BA in History and MA in Mediterranean Studies, and of the NFTS, with a distinction in Script Development.
I’ve previously been a member of the BAFTA jury for Short Animation, currently I’m part of the British Independent Film Awards sub-committee for Screenwriting and Directing and am a member of Women In Film and Television and The Society of Authors.
