I design and deliver talks, both online and in person, sharing advice on the art of giving notes.
I’ve delivered talks for the London Screenwriters’ Festival, The Scottish Screenwriters’ Festival, NFTS Cymru and NFTS Leeds screenwriting courses, NFTS Documentary and Science and Natural History courses, Nordisk Film in Denmark and featured in an episode of The Director’s Take podcast.

Thanks to the Scottish Screenwriters’ Festival and NFTS Scotland for inviting me to Glasgow to talk to screenwriters about making notes a constructive part of the creative process.

London Screenwriters’ Festival

Honoured to be part of London Screenwriters’ Festival – giving both an online talk about ‘Making Notes a Succesful part of Your Script’s Evolution’ and being part of an in-person panel Q&A at Regent’s University, discussing how to thrive in the development process.
Talks for Screenwriting and Filmmaking Students
I’ve enjoyed delivering various sessions for groups of screenwriting and filmmaking students, both online and in person.

Real Magic Q&A with Simon Beaufoy
A wonderful evening at beautiful independent bookshop, Real Magic Books, to mark the publication of We Have Some Notes… The Insider’s Guide to Notes, Script Editing and Development. Where I had the great pleasure of chatting to Oscar winning screenwriter Simon Beaufoy, one of the interviewees in the book.

Very grateful to Simon for so kindly supporting the launch of the book, to Carl & Sophie of Real Magic Books for hosting it in their beautiful bookshop, and to everyone who came along and made it such a lovely evening.

We Have Some Notes… goes to Denmark
Honoured and delighted to be invited by the wonderful writer and director Lone Scherfig to talk about advice from ‘We Have Some Notes… The Insider’s Guide to Notes, Script Editing and Development’, to filmmakers at Nordisk Film in Copenhagen.

Thanks to Lone and everyone at Nordisk Film and Creative Alliance for being so kind and welcoming and for such a warm, engaged and receptive audience. And a pleasure to visit such a beautiful place. Tak!
